岭背村是梅州市蕉岭县南礤镇东北部的行政村，面积8.79平方千米，耕地408.35亩，下设8个村民小组，117户、443人（博雅地名网，未注明年份）。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村子被山岭围着，林木茂密，走出三华里以外就看不到村庄，在山岭的背后，所以叫岭背。村子原叫「蕉羊岭」。[1]

烟叶是主要经济作物，小水电、林木和烤烟是集体收入项目；上一年农村经济总收入204万元。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
蕉羊岭改称岭背后，1950年属北磜乡。1959年成为梅东公社的岭背生产大队，1961年划入北磜公社。1983年北磜区设立，岭背与尚田合为岭田乡；1987年叫岭田村委会，1990年起各自为管理区，1999年岭背称村委会。2004年北磜镇撤销，岭背归南磜镇。[1]
