木联村在平远县泗水镇东北方向8公里处，下设21个村民小组，在册298户、1160人，总面积23平方公里，耕地615亩。[1]
地名由来[edit]
相传旧时山上林木多，本地和外来的人搭树寮住下烧炭卖，起先叫木寮下；后来有人在溪边种木棉，叫木棉坑，又谐音成木联坑，最后简称木联。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
木联乡始于1949年；1953年它同大畲、大同、创新一起并入大新乡。1954年6月，这一片改称三余村，因为最早办的学堂叫三余小学，取古人讲的“三余”读书之意，勉励学子珍惜零碎时光。公社成立（1961年）后称三余大队，“文化大革命”期间又改作余文大队。[1]木联村名列「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位的2018年度广东省名单（2019年9月公布）。[1]
经济[edit]
农业出稻米、花生、玉米、烤烟，大面积种仙人草；水果有脐橙、沙田柚；另有木材。上一年农村经济总收入715万元。[1]
