成文村在平远县泗水镇东南12公里处，与蕉岭县相邻。[1]下设13个村民小组，在册225户、1080人，总面积15平方公里，耕地494.2亩；百度百科记其含斗米石、枧头、李坑3个自然村。[1][2]2019年3月入选第六批广东省古村落，同年6月列入第五批中国传统村落名录。[1][2]
地名由来[edit]
旧名斗米石下，也写作等米石下。一说是坝石右侧有座庵庙（旧庵湮没，重修后称东华庵），传说庙里每天派人到左边石壁上两个小洞口取米煮饭；一说是居民住在斗米石山脚下。还有一说，清代此地出了不少文人，下笔成文，于是简称成文。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
族谱上说，李姓火德公一系的第十世李五郎在枧头立基；过了三代，四郎的长子英敏跟着叔叔八郎，搬到斗米石的南坑住下。现在全村只有蒋姓6户（24人）是外姓，其余都姓李。[1]1953年，与梅岭、兴明三处组成梅石乡；泗水公社成立后（1961年）为成文大队。之后依次为小乡、村民委员会、管理区，1999年定为村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
据该页，村里发动村民种植仙人草和生姜：杉木栽了4200亩，仙人草年均约150亩，生姜约50亩，全村一年收入五百多万元，人均约4000元。[1]
