大畲村位于平远县泗水镇东面6公里，下设10个村民小组，在册159户、661人，总面积6.2平方公里，耕地536亩。[1]
地名由来[edit]
宋元时期，畲族人住在这一带的大山大岭之中，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1953年曾与三余、大同、创新四处同属大新乡，次年6月又单列为大畲片。公社成立（1961年）时，这一带分成大畲、三余、大同、创新四个大队；1983年归并为大畲、余文、大新三个小乡。管理区称呼出现在1989年，1999年起为村民委员会。[1]大畲村名列「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位的2018年度广东省名单（2019年9月公布）。[1]
经济[edit]
以林业为主，出毛竹和木材，兼种烤烟、仙人草，养母猪。上一年农村经济总收入261万元。[1]
