苏姑坪村是梅州市大埔县百侯镇辖下的行政村，位于镇的北部。据博雅地名网载村情（未注明年份），全村分12个村民小组，在册256户、955人，总面积9.7平方千米，耕地1152亩。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据传，元统元年（1333年）熊连氏人家迁来，为求平安，在村口建了一座「苏姑娘」宫，宫后有一片草坪，人称「苏姑娘宫背坪」，简称苏姑坪，也写作师姑坪。[1]
元统元年（1333年），熊连氏一族（熊氏宗祠）从福建湖雷迁入。明代属白堠社师姑坪，清代属白堠甲；民国隶百侯区百侯乡；新中国成立初期归第三区（侯云）侯北乡；1952年为百侯区五洋乡；1958年10月，百侯公社下设五洋大队；1983年冬起改叫百侯区苏姑坪乡，1986年12月起为百侯镇苏姑坪村；1988年叫管理区，1998年改设村民委员会。[1]
