横乾村是梅州市大埔县百侯镇辖下的行政村，位于镇的东南部。据博雅地名网载村情（未注明年份），全村分18个村民小组，在册428户、1693人，总面积4.7平方千米，耕地943亩。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村对面有一座名叫乾山的山，梅潭河流到山前水势平缓，渡船可以横着渡过，于是有了「横权渡」之称，后来以「横乾」作村名。[1]
明朝成化年间，杜、邹、温三姓最先在此落居，后来杜、邹两姓迁走；潘、罗两姓于明末迁来，杨、张两姓在清代迁来，都延续至今。清代属白寨甲，称黄乾渡；民国隶百侯区白寨乡；新中国成立初期归第三区（侯云）侯南乡；1952年为百侯区横乾乡；1958年10月，百侯公社下设横乾大队；1986年12月起为百侯镇横乾村；1988年叫管理区，1998年改设村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
村情材料列出的主要作物是水稻、蜜柚，上一年全村经济总收入是1557万元（年份未注明）。[1] 该村曾是省定贫困村，由广州市老干部局帮扶，帮扶单位出资20万元入股村里的蜜柚场，据称每年为村集体带来3万元收入。[1]
