新宁村是桥头镇的行政村之一，位于肇庆市怀集县，在桥头镇东面，距圩镇约9公里，面积15平方千米，下有22个村民小组，居民4300人（该页未注明年份）。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村委会设在新宁村，村名取旧时“兴宁乡”的“宁”字，并寓意人们见到了新的天日。[1]
1965年起称新宁大队；1967年起称新宁乡；1987年起称新宁管理区；1998年改为新宁村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
村里借助华南师范大学的技术支持和镇里的引导，全村种下玉桂、板栗共4000多亩，镇里的板栗种植基地只有这一个村。[1]
