地名由来[edit]
辖内有较大的沙腾寨村，村落地形由西北向东南，沙水环抱，形似龙形走势，村委会以此得名。[1]
概况[edit]
下辖11个村民小组，总人口1777人；有水田640亩、旱地91亩。村中种有约30亩蔬菜基地、约20亩沙糖桔种苗基地和约30亩甘蔗基地。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
人民公社时期设沙腾大队；1983年11月设乡，1987年起称村委会，1989年4月又作管理区，1998年定名村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2024年3月，沙腾村获「2023年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
