最早是1988年成立的莲塘居委会，1992年升格为街道办事处，1998年以后叫圩镇社区居委会，名称沿用至今[1]。
地名由来[edit]
「白诸」的来历有两说：一说是壮语，指石山多的地方；一说得名于圩镇附近的白猪岗，旧时乡民求雨，在岗上形如猪的大石上涂白泥[1]。
