大八顷村又称八顷村，是江门市新会区大鳌镇的行政村，在大鳌墟镇东南约5公里处，东隔江与中山市大涌镇石井村相对，下设5个村民小组，常住人口1340人[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
清道光年间，陈姓先祖从番禺迁来建村，此地原属中山县特沙一带；1964年划入新会县大鳌镇[1]。1982年因与别处重名，加“大”字而成今名[1]。
地理环境[edit]
村域有耕地1632亩，其中鱼塘1150亩、稻田317亩；村设渡口，通往大涌镇和板芙镇[1]。
经济[edit]
农业以“三高”农业为主，鱼塘通过网上投包出租；集体经济收入的目标是每年增长5%[1]。
人居环境[edit]
村里用一株百年榕树改建议事园，建河畔步道，并建设“四小园”、改造卫生站和公厕、整治河道[1]。
