村在珠江三角洲水网区，以智慧养殖为主要产业，建有新会区首个用上5G水质监测的水产养殖基地[1]。鱼塘发包收入2021年增长20%，2022年增长48.8%；虾塘发包价格从每亩2200元升到7300元[1]。
治理[edit]
村党总支实行“一线四员六岗”网格化管理，设议事亭，解决民生事项300余件；2018年公交W227线通到村里[1]。镇里的党员夜校以“百顷夜校”为名[2]。
历史沿革[edit]
20世纪40年代，百顷联围一带是革命活动的据点，百顷小学即今南沙小学[3]。
