历史沿革[edit]
小山的建制沿革：1958年设为大队，1983年设乡政府，1987年改设村委会，1989年称管理区，1998年恢复村委会，沿用至今。[1]
经济[edit]
村小组有小王山、茶坪、高枧背、赖家、吴家、周家、南木坑。村里种水稻、竹木，也有矿业，收入多靠外出务工、毛竹和禽畜。[1]2021年9月，小山村以茶叶入选第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村；2019年9月列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。[1]
著名人物[edit]
陈德钊（1901年至1933年）是小王山人，据博雅地名网记载，他1918年考入县立高等小学，1921年赴广州工专学校学习。[2]
