历史沿革[edit]
博雅地名网的地名由来说明，这一带是石灰岩小盆地，四周散布的石灰岩残丘形似梅花，村名由此而来。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
村情介绍称，梅花村地处石灰岩山区，山少地少、可开发的资源缺乏，属贫困大村；全村1229户（其中低保户118户），其中农业人口6869人；农民2008年人均年收入3562元。主要种水稻、玉米、红薯、花生、黄豆、黄烟和蔬菜，也养生猪、家禽，劳务输出是主要经济来源。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
1931年2月红七军进驻梅花村，55团和58团的指挥部设在莲花祠，即现存的红七军指挥部旧址。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2021年9月，梅花村以蔬菜入选广东省第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村；2019年9月，列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
