深塘村在梅花镇东南，离镇政府约10公里，辖21个自然村，是镇里人口较多的村之一。^[1]2020年8月，它以水稻入选首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年为深塘大队，1983年改设乡政府，1987年称村委会，1989年设管理区，1998年重设村委会，沿用至今。^[1]

全村956户、5002人，水田1693亩、旱地537亩，合计耕地2606亩；农民2008年人均年收入为3258元。多数村民靠种黄烟增收，2008年全村种黄烟593亩，产值可达100多万元；当年有4153人加入合作医疗，覆盖率达97%。^[1]（村情介绍未标年份，同文的人均收入为2008年数据）

2020年8月，深塘村以水稻入选首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村；2020年5月，深塘村获评韶关市2020年度市级「民主法治村（社区）」。^[1]
