历史沿革[edit]
1958年为大塘边大队，1983年改设乡政府，1987年称村委会，1989年设管理区，1999年重设村委会，沿用至今。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
全村208户、1146人，水田483亩，合计耕地680亩；农民2008年人均年收入为3260元，当年有949人加入合作医疗，覆盖率达93%。村里已通电、通路、通邮、通信。[1]（村情介绍未标年份，同文的人均收入为2008年数据）
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，大塘边村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
