西元村是广州市增城区小楼镇东南部的行政村，南隔增江河与正果镇相望，距镇政府3公里；博雅地名网写作西园村[1]。

据博雅地名网所载，村西邻小楼村，东连庙潭村，北邻江坳村，增江河、二龙河流经村域，广河高速和小正公路经过；辖10个经济合作社，153户763人，总面积2平方千米，鱼塘35亩，水田345亩，山地180亩，以农业为主[1]。近年村里做了新农村规划和环境整治，改造鱼塘并建休闲公园[1]。
