历史沿革[edit]
相传起初由杜姓开村，之后关姓迁来居住；元末郭氏到此，子孙渐多，成为村里的主要姓氏，村名由此叫作郭家塱。「塱」指水边的低地。[1][2]
搬迁与现状[edit]
郭塱村是广州大学城建设中被全部征地、整体迁出的村之一，村集体的收入主要靠大学城15%预留用地的出租。[1]据百度百科，原来的郭氏宗祠在搬迁后仍被保留，原址如今在大学城中心湖一带。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2024年11月，郭塱村入选「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」名单。[1]
