秀发村是广州市番禺区新造镇的行政村，紧靠新造圩，西临珠江，隔江是广州大学城所在的小谷围岛。村民以黎姓为主，下辖秀发、华阳、得月、正面街4个街坊，村名寄托了盼望多出人才的心愿。^[1]^[2]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代，黎氏始祖到礼园定居，繁衍后分为九坊，秀发是其中之一；秀发村民委员会成立于1987年。^[1]

村子东面是北约村和谷围新村，南面连崇德坊、西涧坊，北面是农场村和番禺氮肥厂。^[1]

2006年全村有1163人，耕地500亩，鱼塘300亩，2007年村民的经济总收入是1311万元。种植以蔬菜、红萝卜为主，鱼塘里养四大家鱼，另有鸭场、鸽场，也有经营砂石的码头和手工业加工。^[1]

据百度百科，村内有二·一八抗战烈士纪念碑，礼园乡黎氏始祖黎念泗的墓被列为不可移动文物线索。^[2]

2022年1月，秀发村被广东省乡村振兴局列为2021年度广东省乡村治理示范村的创建单位；2024年11月，入选「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」名单；2026年1月，获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。^[1]
