地理与人口[edit]
村东至旧水坑，南邻竹山村、甘棠村，北邻樟边村、新水坑村，西接蔡边二村和蔡边三村，占地约3.5平方千米，户籍人口约2200人，外来暂住人员约2000人。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
蔡边蔡氏大宗祠在阳平坊大街8号，是蔡一、蔡二、蔡三三村共同的始祖祠堂，据称始建于明代，现存为清代建筑；[2][3] 日泉、月泉在螺山岗脚，也属清代古建筑。两处同为第九批广州市文物保护单位。[1]
村里另有光裕堂祠堂，相传匾额为蔡元培题写；螺山上有清代的文昌塔，还保存着一道木制圣旨和早期华侨归隐的住所「侨隐」。[1]
荣誉[edit]
蔡边一村在2021年、2022年两度列入淘宝村名单，2019年入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。[1]
