莲花井社区是广州市越秀区北京街道下辖的社区，因辖区内曾有莲花井而得名[1]。
地名由来[edit]
据说清代街内有一口井，水清澈，传说井底曾长出莲花，人们便叫它莲花井[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
社区的前身是1953年的吉祥街第四、第六两个居委会，公社化时归六榕公社第三管理区，1968年起属广卫街[1]。两个居委会在1999年并成莲花井居委会；广卫街道并入北京街道（2013年）后，又与雨帽居委会整合（2014年），保留莲花井一名[1]。
名胜古迹[edit]
博雅地名网将中山纪念堂列为社区的文化旅游景点；纪念堂在东风路观音山南麓，所在地清代是官署，辛亥革命后成为督军衙门[1]。
荣誉[edit]
2019年社区列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位；2024年11月认定为2024年广州市充分就业社区[1]。
