和平村的村名取义于各村各姓和睦平等、彼此和和气气相处的愿望，行政村始设时即以此命名。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

陈氏始祖必信于1661年从连城迁到和平村，是村内最早的村落。1917年，李氏始祖语伦从都门迁入。今有陈、李、谭、黄、韦等11姓。[1][2]

1974年7月，罗定调整社队区划，从泗纶公社分出都门公社，下辖和平大队。1983年改设和平乡，隶都门区；1986年改为村民委员会，1989年设管理区，1999年复称村委会，属都门镇。2003年9月，都门并入泗纶镇，和平村委会设置不变。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，和平村进入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。2021年9月，和平村列为第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村，专业为肉桂。[1]
