金鸡镇是广东省云浮市罗定市东部的一个镇，镇政府驻金鸡圩，东面接云安县，南靠阳春市[1][2]。镇域面积90.4平方千米，地处云雾山余脉的石灰岩地区，石灰石和大理石资源丰富[2]。镇名来自圩东南小河潭里的两块巨石，称金鸡潭[1]。镇的现行建制始于1986年11月，当时撤销金鸡区，设立金鸡镇[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

北宋开宝六年（973年）起，这一带属泷水县，直至明万历四年（1576年）[1]。明万历五年起划归罗定州，直到清末。民国时期属罗定县第六区[2]。

1950年，这一带改划入罗定县第二区，该区又称苹塘区。1958年人民公社化时归入苹塘公社，1961年又从中划出，另立金鸡公社。1983年8月公社改为金鸡区，1986年11月区建制撤销，改设金鸡镇[2][3]。

地理环境[edit]

境内奇峰林立，属喀斯特地貌，罗贯水流经镇域，西岸村的两座明代石拱桥便跨在这条水上[2][4]。气候属南亚热带季风气候，年平均气温22.1°C，平均降水量1250毫米，全年无霜期345天[2]。

人口民族[edit]

第七次全国人口普查的结果为2.63万人，2021年6月予以公布[1]。2002年末的统计则为总人口30809人，农业人口有26211人[2]。

经济[edit]

镇内石灰石资源丰富。据2021年的报道，金鸡镇利用“广东省碳酸钙专业镇”的称号发展园区经济，建有工业园，吸引了多家碳酸钙企业落户[7]。博雅地名网列出的镇内特产有红灵大理石[1]。镇内规模种植辣椒和黄豆，并引进了火龙果种植基地，特色产品包括金鸡腐竹与大垌腐竹[7]。

外出谋生的镇民中，从事饮食行业的人数不少：2020年大垌村获评云浮市的“粤菜师傅名村”，据2021年的报道，在外从事饮食行业的金鸡人约有1万人[7]。

文化[edit]

2024年1月，云浮市卫生健康局将金鸡镇列为“2023年云浮市卫生镇”[1]。

名胜古迹[edit]

大垌村下新村的大垌八角楼，是一处建于光绪年间的防御性建筑，1905年落成：前三进为传统民居，后院立着一座四层高的青砖碉楼，因四个角向外凸起，当地人叫它“八角楼”。它列为罗定市县级文物保护单位[4][5]。

大垌村内另有三处清代建筑，即水岩三座屋、挂榜司马第和大垌广居堂。罗定市第四批文物保护单位的名单于2011年2月14日发布，三者都在其中[4]。挂榜司马第的正门题额为“郎官第”，内堂则名“司马第”[4]。

西岸村的西岸石拱桥和金鸡岭石拱桥都建于明代，横跨罗贯水。前者是旧时罗定通往东安县的要道，后者则是罗定州通往阳春县的旧路[4][6]。1994年6月8日，两桥一同被列入罗定市第二批文物保护单位的名录[4][6]。西岸石拱桥的修造年代见于民间修纂的《罗定志》，原碑已失[4]。

石龙村石围前村后山的山洞，是日军侵华罪证遗址。1944年秋，日军进驻罗定，追到洞口后向洞内施放毒气，躲在洞中的六人因此丧命，后人在洞口写上“六尸洞”三字。该遗址于1985年5月20日被定为罗定县第一批文物保护单位[4]。

镇内还有旧石器时代晚期的饭甑山遗址，洞内堆积物中出土了砍砸器、刮削器和石锤等石制品[4]。
