历史沿革[edit]
1949年后，金鸡先后设为行政村、小乡、生产大队和乡。1981年从汝湖公社分出，归小金口公社；1983年大队改为金鸡乡人民政府；1987年改为金鸡行政村，共有七个自然村：老狮头、英头、岭贝塘、陈塘、依岭，以及奎湖一和奎湖二。1998年10月，管理区撤销，设金鸡村委会。[1]
经济与荣誉[edit]
金鸡村在2020年、2021年、2022年连续进入淘宝村名单；2019年9月列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。[1]
