平岗社区隶属新兴县大江镇，在城乡分类里归为镇中心区的社区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区名称取自平天岗，为便于记忆简称平岗。[1] 1949年10月属第四区合江乡，1950年属合河乡，1952年改属第四区大江乡。[1]

1958年11月，这一带属里洞公社，称料村大队；1961年改属合河公社，仍称料村大队。1983年11月撤销公社，改设合河区公所下的料村乡；1986年11月大江镇建制后称平岗管理区。1999年，平岗改设为大江镇平岗社区居民委员会，沿用至今。[1]

经济[edit]

平岗社区凭大豆一项，入选了「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村，这是第二批的名单，于2021年9月公布。[1]
