太平镇坐落于新兴县东南一带，镇政府设在太平圩，是以青梅、茶叶、蓝莓种植和凉果加工为主要产业的乡镇。[1][2] 社圩村的舞火簩列为省级非物质文化遗产，蕉山上的战斗旧址被云浮市列为文物保护单位，象窝山生态园与禅域小镇也都位于镇域。[9][13]

历史沿革[edit]

镇名取平安吉祥之意，镇政府所在的太平圩即为镇中心。[1] 1955年8月，第三区更名为上沙区，区内下辖22个乡。[3] 1957年撤区设乡，上沙区的旧地被拆分为共成、社圩、凤凰三个乡。[3] 1958年10月，共成与社圩两乡合为一个公社，次年定名共成公社。1961年，共成公社又拆成共成、上沙两社；同年9月，上沙公社再析出悦塘公社，到1963年5月悦塘又并回上沙。[3] 1979年，上沙公社管辖13个大队。[3] 1983年8月公社改建为上沙区，1987年3月撤区设镇，镇名定为太平。[3]

2019年，镇被纳入全国农业产业强镇建设名单，同年还获省农业农村厅与省文化和旅游厅评为「全省休闲农业与乡村旅游示范镇」。[7] 2020年，镇列入「第二批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业镇」，又获认定为「第十批全国一村一品示范村镇」。[1] 2023年，镇入选「首批国家农业产业强镇」，获「广东省农业经营主体能力提升示范镇」称号，并被命名为「2023年云浮市卫生镇」。[1][6] 2026年的政府工作报告另称，镇获省认定典型村4个，并入选省第三批「百千万工程」典型镇名单。[5]

地理环境[edit]

镇内有共成水库。[2] 境内矿产有钾长石、石英石、铀、锌等二十多种，石英石的开采方式为露天。[2]

经济[edit]

农业上，青梅、茶叶和蓝莓是主要作物。象窝茶产自象窝山一带的天露山脉，2010年12月获批为国家地理标志产品。[12] 2026年的政府工作报告提到，象窝茶在云浮市内率先取得「湾区认证」，属地理标志保护产品。[5] 镇内引进了市内首个高效设施蓝莓基地，马山一带也有蓝莓基地。[5][6]

2004年的统计所载，工业上以凉果加工为首，另有制伞与不锈钢制品两项。[2]

2025年，广湛高铁新兴段开通，位于镇域内的新兴南站同时启用。[4][5]

文化[edit]

社圩村的舞火簩为省级非物质文化遗产，镇政府称这一民俗始于唐代末期。每年农历二月初十前后，全村十个坊各自扎起火簩，在村中巡游，队伍从岱山寺前的空地出发。[9] 镇内另有县级非遗火把节。[8] 镇政府介绍，全镇目前拥有「1项省级、2项县级」非遗代表性项目，另有「1项市级、1项县级」非遗代表作名录。[8] 镇内建有非物质文化遗产展示馆。[8]

名胜古迹[edit]

蕉山战斗旧址前称蕉山革命烈士陵园，位于社圩村的蕉山上，是云浮市级文物保护单位。[13][14] 1945年2月，抗日部队在蕉山村休整时遭国民党部队包围袭击，司令员梁鸿钧率部反击，身负数伤牺牲，此役共有59名将士阵亡。[13] 1985年，陵园迁至现址；2012至2014年，陆续把分散葬于新兴各镇的143名烈士迁来安葬。[13]

象窝山生态园在象窝山上，属省级旅游度假区，园中有象窝茶园。[10] 2019年，园内的翔顺象窝禅意茶旅农业主题公园获「广东省4A级农业公园」称号。[7] 禅域小镇是以禅宗为主题的文化旅游综合体，2019年建成，2020年被列入「第一批广东省历史文化游径」。[11][15]
