大田村是高村镇的一个行政村，村名取自村前的一大片水田。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

大田一带在1952至1958年间曾置大田乡，1953年称高村乡，各自然村组成互助组。1958年进入高村人民公社，之后为大田生产大队；1984年再设区建乡。1986年成为村委会，1989年变作管理区。1999年复设镇村建制，成为大田村民委员会，至今未变。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，省爱卫会授予本村「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
