高村镇位于云安区西北部的山区丘陵地带，东邻云城区，北与六都镇相接，西与郁南县毗邻，距云浮市区约22公里。[1][2]

镇内以山地为主，山地约21万亩，生态公益林约9.5万亩，耕地约1.99万亩，森林覆盖率为76%。大金山耸立境内，深步河横贯镇中。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

汉元鼎六年（前111年）设端溪县时，今高村一带已渐有开发。东晋末年设永闻县（即晋化县），镇地属其辖；明万历五年（1577年）设东安县，镇地又归东安管辖。[3]

清同治年间已设歌村堡，到民国十五年（1926年）堡改为乡，称高村乡。镇名的来历是：当地人喜唱山歌，对唱时常互不相让而耽误农时，故此地古称“歌村”；又因地势多山、林木茂密，民国初期才更名高村。[4]

1958年9月镇地并入六都乡，次月另立烘炉人民公社。自1961年3月起称高村镇人民公社，1983年4月又称高村区，直到1986年10月才成为高村镇。[3]

1994年9月云浮设立地级市后，镇隶属云城区；1996年1月设云安县，镇归其管辖；2014年9月起云安由县改区，本镇归云安区管辖。[3]

人口民族[edit]

据云浮市云安区高村镇人民政府的统计，户籍总人口3.67万人（2024年）。博雅地名网所载，2021年6月公布的第七次全国人口普查结果为约2.02万人。[1][4]

经济[edit]

镇内建有花卉苗木和生猪两个省级现代农业产业园；南药、蚕桑、油茶、矿产与生态养殖等也是当地的主要产业。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2022年1月，镇被命名为「2021年度广东省卫生城镇」；2023年3月，获评「广东省2022年度休闲农业与乡村旅游示范镇」；2023年4月，列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范镇」创建单位名单；2022年10月，省农业农村厅将本镇认定为花卉苗木方面的专业镇。[4]

文化[edit]

高村八音被视为省级非物质文化遗产「云安八音」的代表，清代中后期流行，至今已有一百多年历史。[1]

高村山歌以对唱为常见形式，「高村山歌」于2019年经认定为云浮市市级非遗项目。[5]

镇内有区级非物质文化遗产「石牛北帝庙」，此外还有炮会文化。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

镇内有灯心洞与水美革命老区等红色遗迹。休闲去处有山歌广场、古树公园，并建有八音桥和滨水趣径，另有陈璘战道。[1]
