南山社区是流沙西街道南部的一个社区，位于流沙西街道的正南方，大南山平头岭北麓。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立后此地称南山大队，20世纪80年代改为南山管理区，1999年起称南山村委会，2002年转为南山社区居委会，至今未再更名。[1]

社区居委会驻地原在南山村，社区名称由此而来。[1]

文化[edit]

南山英歌是普宁英歌中最有代表性的队伍之一。[2]

南山英歌传承基地位于南山村的主干道旁，占地约1100平方米，展陈分为五个厅，分别介绍英歌文化、服饰与道具、脸谱等内容，另有练功房和化妆间。据2024年2月27日发布的报道，基地于当年1月15日揭牌。[2]

2026年1月，本社区获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村称号。[1]
