大同社区位于揭西县县城中心，是河婆街道下辖的社区之一[1]。

地名由来[edit]

社区取名“大同”，出自孙中山先生所说的“世界大同”一语[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1988年5月设立大同居民委员会，2002年改名为大同社区居民委员会，此名沿用至今[1]。

社区荣誉与设施[edit]

2019年9月，大同社区列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。揭西县妇幼保健院位于辖区内[1]。
