旧寨村位于榕东街道，北临榕江北河，是一个全村为陈氏族人聚居的古村，据博雅地名网，村从北宋末年创寨，至今已有近千年的历史。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，村从北宋末年开始创寨。始祖泰初公原籍福建莆田，北宋绍圣年间在潮州府做通判，退休后便在此地定居。[3]

村址形似卧牛，村民称之为「牛地」。南宋淳熙年间，陈氏子孙合力营建陈氏家庙，堂号「有庆」。[3]

1994年，旧寨析出，成立旧寨村委会，隶属榕东街道。[1]

2016年10月，本村列入第五批广东省古村落之中。旧寨村于2023年5月获广东省爱卫会评定为「2022年广东省卫生村」。2021年10月和2022年10月，旧寨村两次列入淘宝村名单。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

据博雅地名网，村中人口2400人，共507户，面积近700亩（年份未注明）。陈氏族人估计，从旧寨分出去的乡村有190多个，海内外人口合计约150万。[3]

村民主要种植香蕉、柑桔等作物，有个体户20多家，主要生产玩具微电机。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

旧寨陈氏家庙位于村南。据博雅地名网，家庙建于北宋哲宗时期，年代约在1094至1099年之间。庙中供奉着沂国公、泰初公以及历代祖先的牌位，每逢九月初八举行祭祠。[4]

百度百科称家庙约建于宋代；2007年被揭阳市列为文物保护单位，2019年4月则入选第九批广东省文物保护单位名单。[5]

村内的「七间过」又称「颍川旧家」，相传为陈氏有庆堂老四房所建，四进三天井；其后建有「涂库」，用作存放钱粮。[3]
