新和村为潮安区凤塘镇所辖的行政村，近年产业结构发生了较大变化。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年公社化期间，新和属西和大队；1975年独立设为新和大队。此后，1999年起改设新和村民委员会，至今仍用此名。[1]

产业[edit]

村子过去以粮农为主，经济单一，近年逐步转向陶瓷、建筑、种养、手工和小商业等并举的多元经济。村里还投资建成学校、装修旧祠堂作为老人活动场所，并修建了村道水泥化工程。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，村入选「2018年广东省民主法治示范村」创建单位名单。2021年12月，获「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉。[1]
