白石村位于三乡镇西面，在三乡镇政府以西约4公里处，面积9.3平方千米，辖10个自然村、16个村民小组。村内保留着多座碉楼，是中山抗日根据地之一，也是侨乡。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

唐代，彭英在此定居；后来沙溪镇源兴里的汤姓人迁入。村中有竹溪古桥、侯王庙、加林山古墓等古迹。[2]

1945年，珠江纵队以碉楼为依托设下防线，村民和物资得以转移，这就是白石保卫战。门前大巷的7号碉楼当年是防御战的指挥所，如今已列为省级和市级红色革命遗址。[3]

文化[edit]

博雅地名网称村内保留23座碉楼；2026年的报道则称现存清末民初碉楼21座。两者的数字不同，此处都予以记录。[2][3]

村内有白石第一、第二工业区，麻斗工业区和兴塘工业区四个工业区，外资企业150家。[2]

白石华侨分布于美国、加拿大、秘鲁、巴拿马等十多个国家。[2]
