长塘社区处在大朗镇中心区内，占地面积3.63平方千米。百度百科载，社区辖长塘村、黄田村两个自然村，下设六个居民小组[3]。户籍人口的数字各家不一：博雅地名网载为5892人（1921户），政府网概况载为5954人（2004户）[1][2]。

商贸与产业[edit]

政府网概况称，社区以商贸为主导，大中型零售网点和商业街都集中在辖区内，周边有碧桂园里悦里购物中心、长盛广场商圈等。社区拥有「国家级科技企业孵化器培育单位」松湖云谷创意产业园，在孵企业40家[1]。

2025年间社区增设了230个停车位，目前自行管理的车位合计1120个。社区推进明上街升级改造和长盛公园停车场改造，并依托地铁1号线大朗站连通松山湖与东莞市区[1]。

社会与文化[edit]

社区先后获评「全国文明社区」「全国书香社区」，并被确定为广东省未来社区（完整社区）建设试点[2][1]。社区有东莞图书馆长塘分馆，面积约1000平方米，还有长塘展览馆，展示社区历史与发展[1]。2025年社区组织文体活动859场次[1]。
