和平村位于七拱镇南部，距圩镇约7千米，一条县道贯穿全村南北。村委会现辖17个村民小组，大禾岗村民小组内有学发公祠。[1][2]

地名与沿革[edit]

村名的来由是：解放前治安不靖，新中国成立后村民盼望和平生活，故取名和平。1940年设保，1952年改为乡政府，1958年改为生产大队，1983年改为乡政府，1987年改为村委会，1989年改为管理区，1999年3月改回村委会。[1]

近年发展[edit]

据2026年的报道，和平村与潭村村组团发展，村党员骨干推动100亩旱地西洋菜示范基地提质升级，村民把闲置农房9间改作特色民宿。村集体的强村公司盘活大禾岗驿站，发展咖啡屋等业态，带动学发公祠一带的文旅农业。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2017年10月，和平村获广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予的第一批广东省卫生村称号；2026年1月，获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
