名称来历[edit]

明崇祯年间（1628—1644年），人们沿一处狭长的鱼塘边修筑长塘堡，村因堡而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1951年建乡后，1958年成为大队，1983年改设乡政府，1986年换成村委会，1989年又成管理区。[1]

阳春市人民政府于1999年3月15日核准组建长塘村委会，沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2023年10月，黄沙村、茅垌村、河背村、牛皮村、宅口村列入「2023年度阳江市卫生村」名单。[1]
