渡头村是阳西县沙扒镇下辖的行政村，属镇乡结合区。此前它归儒洞镇所辖，2003年8月起改由沙扒镇管理。1987年以后设有村委会，1999年又恢复了这一建制。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年以前，此地是阳江县第七区的渡头乡。新中国成立后，它先后归儒洞区、儒洞乡管辖，1958年随即并入人民公社。1959年设渡头生产大队，经历革命委员会时期后，1983年改设渡头乡。[2]

1987年以后，这里设村委会，归儒洞镇领导。1989年改为管理区建制，直到1999年才又恢复村委会。2003年8月，渡头改隶沙扒镇。[2]

荣誉[edit]

第三批全国乡村治理示范村的认定落在2023年11月，渡头位列其中；同月，它也被纳入广东“百千万工程”首批典型县镇村的名单。[1]

2022年1月，渡头获得省乡村治理示范村创建资格，所属年度为2021年。同年8月，它又取得2022年度省民主法治示范村（社区）的创建资格。2024年4月，渡头被纳入广东省乡村振兴示范村首批创建对象。[1]

2025年3月，渡头获得第七届全国文明村镇的命名；2025年5月，它进入全国老年友好型社区示范创建的名单，年份为2025至2026年。[1]
