溪头镇是广东省阳江市阳西县下辖的镇，位于县城东南面的南海之滨，距县城约17.5公里，镇政府驻溪头圩。全镇辖25个村（社区、渔委会），以渔业和农业为主。[1]

地名由来[edit]

镇人民政府设在溪头圩，镇以圩名为名。[6]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期，溪头一带的村落分别归入白石都、虔儒都和寿文都的若干“图”。[2]

新中国成立后，这里曾是阳江县的一个区。此后行政名称屡次更换：先是区，再是乡，之后成为公社，又恢复为区，直到1987年才定为镇。[2] 1988年阳江县分设阳西县，溪头镇随之属于阳西县。[2][7]

地理环境[edit]

溪头镇濒临南海，博雅地名网载全镇面积约168.5平方千米，海岸线长约39.5千米，沿海滩涂约3.5万亩。省道织溪公路穿镇而过，港口可直航港澳，其中丰头深水港能停泊万吨级船舶，被列为省一级渔港。[1]

镇西南的青湾仔海滨旅游度假区面对南海，沿岸有约19公里长的沙滩和约4公里长的花岗岩海岸，并有3000多亩红树林。[5]

经济[edit]

农田里水稻种植面积最大，番薯、花生、蔬菜也有种植，龙眼、荔枝、黄皮等果树约1.5万亩；山地中松林约14万亩。[1]

规划在镇内建设的华夏阳西电厂，规划装机7480兆瓦，计划投资320亿元。[3]
