地名与沿革[edit]
因处在沙溪的最东边而得名。[1] 新中国成立后曾是松岗公社沙溪乡的溪头生产队，后为沙溪乡溪头村；1990年脱离沙溪乡，自设村民委员会，1993年1月冠以宝安区之名，2004年7月随改制变为社区居民委员会。[1]
姓氏与古迹[edit]
居民以王姓为主，据社区材料出自东莞厚街镇王姓分支；保留较好的古迹有王氏大宗祠、抗战年代的碉堡以及卢歧楼。[3]
文化[edit]
2026年1月15日，社区在溪头股份公司大院举办酸菜文化节，社区老人现场展示从选菜、晾晒到入坛压实的传统腌制工序。[4] 2022年3月，社区入选「第一批深圳市绿色（宜居）社区」。[1]
