新龙村是元善镇下辖的行政村，村内有少数畲族居民。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村子三面是山，南侧靠近县城。九连山系黄牛石一脉向北伸展，直贯县城北部，形如龙身，村名取“新龙”，有龙头之意。[1]

村子此前叫王龙洞，又曾称王小洞，新中国成立后才定名新龙村。[1]

2022年1月，新龙村经省乡村振兴部门认定，列为2021年度乡村治理示范创建村。[1]

村中建有文化广场，是居民休闲健身的场所。[2]
