留潭村是元善镇下辖的行政村，原名下流洞。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
该村原名下流洞，后与距下流洞约三千米的鱼潭自然村合并，遂改称留潭。[1]
新中国成立初期，本地属惠化区石龙乡；1958年划入惠化公社，称留潭大队；1983年成为惠化区的留潭乡，1999年设留潭村民委员会。[1]
2022年度乡村治理示范村创建名单于2023年4月公布，留潭村在列。[1]
据元善镇政府网站，留潭村先后被河源市评为文明村。[2]
