上坪村是上坪镇的行政村，与镇中心的上坪社区相邻，城乡分类属镇乡结合区。村名与社区同源，取自此地原有的一个大坪。2026年3月，村庄列入广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年解放后，村子一带属上坪区，村政府设在近圩镇处。此后这里先后改称乡政府、管区、大队，1983年复为乡政府，1986年起为村委会；1989年一度改为管理区，1999年重设村委会，沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年10月，村庄列入2019年广东省卫生村名录。2019年12月，村子被收入全国第二批国家森林乡村名单。2021年1月，河源市文明委授予村庄“2020年度河源市文明村”称号。[1]

产业与建设[edit]

镇政府把上坪村作为镇域人居环境整治的典型村来打造，村内的流田水河（上坪村段）正在推进美丽河道建设。[2]
