地名由来[edit]
据记载，此地古称七约青坑村。因林密坑多，地势高，又称“上青坑”；高山一带竹木资源丰富，故有此名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年解放后，青化与青云曾合设村政府。1953年建青化乡，1957年为青化管区。[1]
革命历史[edit]
1927年前后，青化村人刘昌明介绍仰天堂的青年加入寻乌赤卫队，此后寻龙边境的地下活动增多。1935年2月，留在中央苏区坚持斗争的古柏在村内鸳鸯坑的土纸厂召集粤赣边区的苏区干部开会，同年3月，会址遭国民党县警围攻，古柏与另两名领导牺牲，遗址即古柏牺牲地遗址。[2]
产业[edit]
镇政府规划在青化村发展林下灵芝种植场，作为村集体经济的项目之一。[3]
