赤木村位于车田镇。村名来自旧时村后山上杂木众多的情形：“赤”与“杂”读音相同，故称赤木。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1950年，赤木村属车田乡；1958年属车田公社的赤木大队；1983年改设乡，1986年改为村委会，1989年改为管理区，1999年重设村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年10月，赤木村列入2019年广东省卫生村名录。[1]
