嶂石村位于车田镇，由原先的嶂下、石茶两个大队合并而成，村名各取一字。公社化前，这两个大队归贝岭管辖，后划入车田镇。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1951年，嶂石村属车田乡。1958年，它是车田公社的嶂石大队。1983年改设乡，1986年转为村委会，1989年称管理区，1999年重新设立村委会。[1]

征地[edit]

2024年3月，龙川县人民政府发布征收土地预公告，拟征收的集体土地分属下塘、田心两个经济合作社，用途为生物质能发电项目（城镇建设用地）。[2]
