叶塘村在车田镇内，村名由两部分拼成：村子起点处有叶坑，取其中的“叶”字；各村都有池塘，取“塘”字，二字合为“叶塘”。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1951年，叶塘村隶属车田乡。1958年，它成为车田公社下的叶塘大队。1983年改设乡，1986年转为村委会，1989年称管理区，1999年重新设立村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
叶塘村被评为2022年广东省卫生村，认定工作由广东省爱卫会在2023年5月完成。[1]
产业[edit]
2024年12月发布的镇工作计划，列有在叶塘小学所在处筹建车田豆腐产业园一项，并表示争取项目早日落地。[2]
