地名由来[edit]

据博雅地名网载，此地在建村之初即有畲族人定居，因位置偏低而得名「下畲」。[1]

沿革[edit]

新中国成立（1949年6月）后，此地先归瑶再乡，地名写作下輋。1958年建成下畲大队，1984年建乡，1986年变为管理区，1999年又有村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，本村名列2018年度广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位之中。[1]
