地名由来[edit]
1952年设立乡政府时，辖区内有楠木坑、龙塘两个较大的自然村，各取一字，村名由此而来。[1]
沿革[edit]
1949年时此地仍称南龙村；1958年组建大队，1983年为乡政府驻地，1986年由乡转为村委会，1989年成为管理区，1999年村委会复设，延续至今。[1]
产业[edit]
2025年工作计划提出以南龙村为核心种植区，计划在此把茶叶种植、加工、销售与茶旅结合起来，形成一体化发展。[4] 规划公告也将南龙村列为中心村。[3]
荣誉[edit]
2023年5月，南龙村经广东省爱卫会认定为2022年广东省卫生村。[1]
