地名由来[edit]

据传明朝初期，谢、邝两姓在此居住，并建有几座砖窑和缸窑，因地形狭长，旧称「窑坑」。后来人们觉得「窑」字不够雅致，改作「瑶坑」。[1]

建制沿革[edit]

解放后此处设村并更名为瑶坑。1958年组成大队，1984年建乡政府，1986年由乡改为村民委员会，1989年转作管理区，1999年又有村委会。[1]
