潭芬村隶属赤光镇，规划公告写作「谭芬村」，列为一般村。[2][3]

地名由来[edit]

村名来自马胺塅上的一处大水潭。潭面长满花朵，散出醉人的香气，「潭芬」由此得名。[1]

建制沿革[edit]

1949年隶属潭芬村。1958年设大队，1984年设乡，1986年由大队改为村委会，1989年定为管理区，1999年复设村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，本村名列2018年度广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位之中。[1] 博雅地名网记潭芬村于2024年3月获评2023年广东省卫生村。[1]
