名称来历[edit]

村在韩江东岸，地势低洼，每逢春天大雨，大片良田被水淹没，远看像一片大湖，村名因此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年村址属铁东村，其后归铁东管理区与铁东大队；1976年分出东湖大队，1983年改设东湖乡，1986年设村委会，1989年改管理区，1999年重设村委会。2004年，经县政府批准，鲁占村委会并入东湖村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年3月，村被评为2023年度广东省卫生村。[1]
